Although they have common points or smilarities we keep oversize deliveries and project shipments as seperate due to certain differences involve in both titles.
For us Project Shipments do need exclusive consultancy in the very beginning of the business at engineering level to describe the methods of transportation, sequence of instruments involved and seasonal route conditions. It would be to simple to classify carrying windmills from Denmark to Baku as Oversize Transport if project takes 9 months, 3 seasons and more than two modal delivery structure as truck and barge. At Asgard we take Project Shipments in following steps :
Understanging Customers Needs : We visit customer at their own plant where shipments will start loading. Discussing all requirements into very specific details including subjects such as target budget, insurance, their past experiences, regional route conditions, seasonal conditions of the route countries, lead times.
Preparing Feasibility Report : Feasibility reports are usualy consisted of 2 alternative solutions divided by different route and budget suggestions. It takes from a week to a month to compile a full feasibility report including exact steps of delivery by Project Lead Times charts, routes, seasonal remarks, detailed loading, transfer, check point maps and general service conditions of business developer which is Asgard. Our project feasibility report is also a firm service and price quotation to customer.
Start Up and Running the Project : For projects take longer than 3 months we dedicate one inhouse Project Manager who is solely dealing with customer’s project, running the business accourding to schedules mentioned on Feasibility Report. It allows us to compile all necessary information peer to peer from the shipper or consignee to make necessary decisions on demand.
Finalisation Acknowledgement Letter : Finalisation Acknowledgement Letter is being signed by receiver first and sent to Asgard. After necessary checkings we sign the letter and provide to shipper. Once shipper signs the F.A.L. literally we literally close the project as accomplished.
